Why choose Stainless Steel Solenoid Valves over Brass Solenoid Valves?
While Brass Solenoid Valves are more widely used in general purpose applications, there are many situations where stainless steel solenoid valves are required. Stainless steel offers superior resistance to chemical corrosion over brass as well as improved durability in harsh environments and the handling of aggressive fluids.

Features and Benefits of Stainless Steel Solenoid Valves:
Aggressive Media
Stainless Steel valves are able to withstand aggressive fluids, high pressure media and are used in applications where corrosion resistance is essential.
AISI316 and AISI304/303 Stainless Steel bodied Solenoid Valves are the industry standard in many sectors that handle aggressive fluids and operate in harsh environments.
Chemical Resistance
Stainless Steel Solenoid Valves, especially 316 stainless steel bodied valves, have excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, acids, chlorides and solvents.
Stainless steel valves are widely used in the chemical industry due to resistance to corrosive fluids as well as applications where resistance to aggressive cleaning is essential, such as the food & beverage industry and in pharmaceutical/medical equipment.
Pure Water/De-Ionised Water
As well as heavy industry and resistance to harsh environments, stainless steel is essential in DI water applications due to having excellent corrosion resistance.
AISI 316 Stainless Steel preserves water purity in de-ionised water applications making stainless steel solenoid valves compatible with medical and laboratory equipment, pharmaceutical applications and the biotechnology sector.

V- Flow Solutions Stainless Steel Solenoid Valves
V-Flow Solutions supply an extensive range of stainless steel solenoid valves for many applications such as the chemical industry, medical sector, food industry and the handling of aggressive fluids.
Valve bodies are generally made from stainless steel grade 1.4305 EN 10088/AISI 303 or ASME SA351/351M AISI316L CF3M.
To further improve suitability with aggressive media the shading ring on stainless steel solenoid valves is generally produced from silver as opposed to the more commonly used copper. Silver has a better resistance to the effects of harsh acids and alkali.
Our range of Stainless Steel solenoid valves are available as assisted lift (zero rated) valves and coils as well as a range of direct acting and pilot operated stainless steel valves to cater for a wide range of industrial applications.
Seamless armature tubes (no welded parts) offer further protection against the effects of aggressive media. A standard armature tube is welded at the base of the tube. Welded parts are more likely to be affected by the corrosion that can be caused by the use of harsher media.
